And across she came, a magnificent specimen of a Torterra. A fine example of mighty beasts she had set out for to look, yet to be certain meant to test its capabilities. She first let out her Crux to test the waters, to see how it would fare against regular types before sending Mythras into the fray. Although it held itself admirably, in the end the Torterra chose to retreat from the two smaller pokémon's endless barrage, and Kyrenai felt little for making chase.

Although she could probably teach it to stand its ground, what she needed right now was a braver type of pokémon.

And thus her search continued.

A vullaby waddled by. And no matter how cute the little thing was, it just wasn't what she was looking for.

That, and the fact that she wasn't ready to handle two young pokémon just yet. Cin was a handful as is, let alone if he'd get any reinforcements.

When the Deino appears she's rather happily surprised. As is Crux, who regards its fellow species with interest; just like it's trainer. Yes, she already owns such a specimen, but to find another seems like a sign; because she knows what power they can hold.

It doesn't need to show its bravery; its curiosity to come and check both her pokémon out is enough. A pokéball is tossed its way to add it to her team.

Much to her surprise, after the pokéball shook a second time, it ceased, and the Deino came breaking out of it. Its eyes flickered defiantly, like it wasn't planning on going along with a casual capture after all. Kyrenai smirked at the dragon type and nodded softly.

"So be it then, little one. We'll dance. Crux, show our friend a good time, shall we?"

Calling the Growlithe to heel, her own Deino stepped forth, eager to face its kin in battle. The wild Deino steadies itself and throws its head back, unleashing a blast of purple energy at Crux, who did not budge an inch until it was ordered to. "Intercept with Dragon Pulse, follow up with Crunch," she ordered, watching as her Deino came to life. From its gaping mouth an orb of energy shot forth, connecting with the opposing Deino's purple blast, causing an explosion stirring up sand between them. Obscured from one another, Crux dove in without a second thought, sinking its teeth in its neck and flinging it out of the cloud of dust.

The Deino however seemed to take a stand, and got back on its feet.

"Again, Hyper Voice this time."

Crux inhaled, letting out a deafening shockwave upon the unsuspecting Deino. It connected, and before it had time to react, met its fate with a second pokéball. Hopefully this time it would be enough to keep it contained.
